* CrapsackWorld: Sanctuary has always been plagued by its origins as a realm created by a Demon and an Angel, but once the Prime Evils started their plans to TakeOverTheWorld, the realm has been utterly beset by tragedy after tragedy, where even wandering the roads and wilderness is tantamount to suicide by hungry monsters and corruptive demons, and things just keep going FromBadToWorse. By the time of ''Diablo IV'', the world has been afflicted with a proverbial apocalypse threatening all of humanity multiple times for the past three decades and the demon threat has escalated so much that the [[ForeverWar Great Conflict]] is on the verge of an extinction event with humans barely hanging on in a new, bloody dark age. [[HereWeGoAgain And then Lilith got unsealed.]]

Added DiffLines:

* ForeverWar: Angels and Demons are to be locked eternally in battle as a simple matter-of-fact in their eternal Great Conflict, but a land produced in-between their realities was meant to be some sort of reprieve by one of the more hedonistic angels and his demon lover, the land of Sanctuary intended for those tired of the war. Lilith had other plans once the [[PhysicalGod nephalem]] were born stronger than both kinds, and attempted to continue the war in her own grab for power with these individuals, and both sides ended up barred from the realm for it -- until the Prime Evils decided that taking over the realm to gain a true and serious edge toward the war's conclusion was their new priority.

Trimmed some repetition and natter.

** Black Death in particular take away 1 hit point permanently on striking (with no indication that this is the case) and can render the game unwinnable if you are playing very badly and get hit hundreds of times, leaving you with a tiny amount of health.
** Unless you're a mage who's using Mana Shield... at which point you get to use the ludicrously advantageous "No Stun" bug.
** When you die, the save function is disabled, but not ''immediately''. Yes, saving at this point makes the current game unwinnable. It requires timing by the milliseconds, though. A frame too late and the game disables the save function. The easiest way is probably to get a +HP item and then get yourself down to health lower than said item provides you. When you remove the item, you die. If you click and press ESC almost exactly at the same moment, you get to save without having that item on you. No, there is no time to put it back on.
