** The show's TransformationTrinket, the Card Commune, was originally concieved as a revived version of the ''VideoGame/{{Tamagotchi}}'', but Bandai wanted a TV show made to advertise the toy. Thus, Pretty Cure was born.

* ScrewedByTheNetwork: {{YTV}}, despite paying for the dub, has put it in really bad time slots and only aired the first 12 episodes for the first few months. At least they managed to complete the first season. This is one of the reasons the series hasn't been able to get off the ground in the American continent when it comes to TV broadcasts.

* NoExportForYou: Only the first series got dubbed in English. Max Heart might not see the light of day.
