Tropers: Firechick 12012

Hello Tropers of the world! I'm Julia but feel free to call me Firechick or Juliko on the internet. As of now, I'm 20 years old going on 21 in June, and I'm currently an art major. I loves me my anime, manga, games, and writing stories and fanfiction. As of now I'm writing Digimon and Pretty Cure fan fics, and I wrote a Pokémon fan fic called Sylvia The Sylveon. I just started a Pretty Cure fan series called Twilight Pretty Cure, and I created the trope page for it (and am still working on it, though other contributions are welcome!). I'm not a hikikomori if that's what you're thinking. I do try to do and watch things with an open mind as much as possible, and I feel blessed to have a good family and great friends who care about me and put up with my over-the-top Cloud Cuckoo Lander tendencies. Nice to meet you all! Sorry if I sound really dumb.

These tropes best describe me:

  • Adaptation Expansion: When I'm not writing fan series based on my favorite anime, I like to write little oneshots expanding on certain things that weren't explained in canon. For example, I wrote a Pokémon X and Y one shot expanding on the relationship between King AZ and his Floette, called King Az And The Floette of 3000 Years.
  • Adult Child (I'm 20 years old yet I don't drive, don't live on my own, don't know anything about finances or paying bills, and am as social as a brain dead squirrel. Blame my autism for that)
  • All of the Other Reindeer (I was bullied a lot back at my old school for my eccentricities and my Cloud Cuckoo Lander tendencies, but I did have friends back then, and still do)
  • Asperger Syndrome
  • The Atoner: As of this point, I'm trying to be this in regards to the Pretty Cure fandom. I'm writing a fan series, but I unknowingly wrote about problematic subjects in an insensitive way, which got me a fair amount of backlash, so at this point, I've been up my eyeballs in revising earlier chapters, redoing outlines for later ones, taking out offensive things and writing them more sensitively, addressing the complaints of some authors and reviewers, and am trying to make the story something everyone can enjoy. But I'll probably never live this down no matter how hard or long I try.
  • Berserk Button (Here are some ways to make me scream at you: judge me, act like you know me when you don't, misinterpret what I say as bad for no reason, talk like I'm a bad person which I'm not, mess with my stuff, bring up false theories about autism, or hurt people or animals.)
  • Brainy Brunette
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander (I'm pretty much the biggest one in my family, yet I'm also the most levelheaded when bad or silly situations pop up)
  • Cosplay Otaku Girl (I don't cosplay often because of lack of both money and sewing skills, but I definitely love my anime and manga!)
  • Crazy Cat Lady (I loves my kitties! I still miss my little Reese who was given away against my will, and I constantly worry for her safety!)
  • Cuteness Proximity (Show me a bunny or deer or stuffed animal or anything that's cute, expect me to go "D'AWWWWW SOOOOO CUUUUUTE!!!!")
  • Dandere
  • D-Cup Distress
  • Geek
  • Genius Sweet Tooth
  • Genki Girl (I can definitely be this when I'm happy or excited about something)
  • Green Eyes
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals
  • Hype Aversion (I tend to not be too fond of most popular anime, not BECAUSE they're popular. I like some popular stuff, but most others not so much. Some popular anime are either too long, too riddled with ecchi, or are too flawed to really justify some fans' claims of them being masterpieces. I do, however, have an intense disdain for one particular non-ecchi anime because of how stupid it is and the insensitive way it treats children dabbling in fantasy lives.)
  • Lampshade Hanging: (In many of my fan fics I like to have my characters lampshade certain tropes and talk about how over-the-top or silly they are.)
  • Literal-Minded (While not to a huge extent, I tend to misinterpret some expressions every once in a while.)
  • Nice Girl (though a lot of people love to accuse me of being rude and malicious when I'm not. I'm looking at you, big sis!)
  • Old Shame (I wrote a lot of Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! fan fics when I was in 7th and 8th grade, but they were all poorly written, full of OOC and Self Insert O Cs. I'd like to bury them six feet under dirt)
  • Original Character: I make lots of them, and I try hard not to make them into Mary Sues.
  • Shrinking Violet
  • Spoiler Hound (only when I look up shows I don't like)
  • Sweet Tooth (Don't leave anything chocolate in front of me. They'll be consumed by my stomach acid when you notice they're gone)
  • Team Mom (when the situation comes to pass, especially when my friends start getting crazy and misbehave)
  • Wangst (I go into this sometimes, but mostly because of my autism and anxiety issues, though I do get out of them quickly with some good ol' anime and books)
