* ActingForTwo: In the German dub, Mepple and Mipple are both voiced by Diana Borgwardt.
* CowboyBebopAtHisComputer:
** The descriptions for Canadian TV listings for the English dub claimed the protagonists' names were Nagisa and Honoka, their original Japanese names, rather than Natalie and Hannah, their dub names. Only the first 10 episodes and the last 5 episodes used the English names for the characters.
** When a French streaming service announced that they got the rights to the series, an image of ''Anime/KiraKiraPrecureALaMode'' was shown...which turned out to be [[ContentLeak an accidental leak of the series that would be released in July.]]
* TheDanza: Akane Fujita is voiced by Mikako Fujita.
* DuelingDubs: There exists two English dubs of the first season. One dubbed by Creator/TheOceanGroup in Canada and another by Odex in Singapore.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The fate of both the Canadian and Singaporean English dubs, apparently. However, clips of the Canadian dub are found on [=YouTube=], of all places. As for the Singaporean dub...

* ReferencedBy: For shared examples, [[ReferencedBy/PrettyCure see here]]. For references exclusive to this series:
** In ''WebComic/AndShineHeavenNow'', Cure Black and Cure White show up to help fight Incognito.
** In ''Manga/ShinozakisanKiWoOtaShikaNi'', one of the anime series Akina is obsessed with is titled "Futari de [=PrePure=]".
** In ''Anime/WeatheringWithYou'', there's a shot of some cosplayers dressed as Cure Black and Cure White.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork:
** Creator/{{YTV}}, despite paying for the dub, put it in really bad time slots and only aired the first 12 episodes for the first few months. At least they managed to complete the first season. This is one of the reasons the series wasn't able to get off the ground in the American continent when it came to TV broadcasts.
** The same thing happened with the Mexican Spanish dub, since they only dubbed 26 episodes. Not to mention Creator/{{Televisa}} (the series' Mexican broadcaster) did this in a SpringtimeForHitler scheme so they'd be able to stop broadcasting the series, since they'd never wanted to do so but were basically forced to by Toei Animation.
* SleeperHit: Started off this way in Japan, [[CashCowFranchise believe it or not]]. Originally dismissed as a run of the mill MagicalGirl series, word of mouth about the high octane action found in the series spread, increasing the ratings to the point where the original 49 episode season got a second season. The rest is history.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** If you can believe it, Creator/FourKidsEntertainment [[https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2006-02-24/4kids-licenses-pretty-cureoriginally got the rights to the show once upon a time]], but after a couple years of unsuccessfully trying to get a TV deal, they let it expire.
** The show's TransformationTrinket, the Card Commune, was originally conceived as a revived version of the ''Toys/{{Tamagotchi}}'', but Bandai wanted a TV show made to advertise the toy, resulting in the show's creation.
** There was a in-house pitch dub done by Toei for this show that featured Creator/StephanieSheh as a voice for [[https://twitter.com/stephaniesheh/status/1482741162012151810 one or both of the lead characters, per her own words]].
* WrittenByCastMember: One of Nagisa’s character songs, ‘100% Courage With The Power To Believe!!’ is written by Yoko Honna herself.
