A sadistic player of games, Granz creates {{voodoo doll}}s out of his victims, and then proceeds to torture them to death, rupturing one organ at a time, as he cheerfully does to Renji Abarai and Uryu Ishida. He's also the [[BadBoss worst boss]] of any of the Espada, modifying the bodies of his subordinates so that in a pinch he can convert them to raw energy and devour them with ease, using their lives to fuel his own. A sickening scientist, who [[SmugSnake regards himself as the ultimate life form]], Granz takes pride in his unique brand of depravity, and regards everyone, including his late brother Ylfordt Granz, as beneath him, and, ultimately, disposable.

** [[Characters/BleachYhwach Yhwach]] is TheEmperor of the [[Characters/BleachVandenreich Vandenreich]], the King of all Quincies, and the GreaterScopeVillain of the entire work. Yhwach attacks the Soul Society, killing numerous Soul Reapers, while personally slaying the Gotei 13's commander Genryusai Yamamoto. It is then revealed Yhwach was responsible for the ''Auswählen'' nine years prior--stealing the power from Quincies he deemed "impure"—for all intents and purposes killing them--to restore his own power, which led to the deaths of Ichigo and Uryu Ishida's mothers. Furthermore, Yhwach maintains his power and life by [[YourSoulIsMine harvesting the souls of those slain in the war]], on both sides. On his second invasion, Yhwach callously uses the ''Auswählen'' on [[BadBoss his elite Sternritter forces]], save his own personal guard, when he deems them useless to the coming battle. Finding the Soul King, Yhwach destroys him, nearly sundering the separate worlds, while not caring about the innocents or even his own soldiers caught up in the destruction. Said soldiers offer their aid to the Shinigami once they understand the extent of Yhwach's threat to existence; this EnemyMine also includes various other factions, demonstrating how dangerous Yhwach is. Absorbing the Soul King's power, Yhwach later uses ''Auswählen'' a third time on his Royal Guard, including his trusted second-in-command Haschwalth, before defeating Ichigo himself, stealing his powers and declaring his intent to bring ruin to Soul Society and the human world, while threatening to kill Ichigo's friends in their happiest moments should they interfere, all to create a world where [[ImmortalityImmorality he won't have to die]]. Brutal, callous and unrelenting in his selfish belief that [[ItsAllAboutMe everything exists to benefit and empower him]], [[AGodAmI Yhwach]] stands as ''Bleach'''s cruelest and most dangerous villain.

* ''[[LightNovel/BleachCannotFearYourOwnWorld Can't Fear Your Own World]]'': [[{{Sadist}} Tokinada Tsunayashiro]] is a sadistic Soul Reaper and the head of the Tsunayashiro family. Possessed of a vicious cruelty innate to him, Tokinada killed his own best friend when he tried to duel him, killing his own wife Kakyo in the process before finding her best friend Kaname Tosen and savagely beating him after [[KickTheDog revealing the truth for kicks]]. Seeking to remake the cosmos himself, he develops the ArtificialHuman Hikone with the intent on giving them a FateWorseThanDeath as the new Soul King, killing many or having them killed while attempting to slaughter or mentally destroy everyone he faces, even threatening to kill Yoruichi Shihoin with the technique of Suì-Fēng, the woman who loves her. [[WouldHarmAChild Stealing Youichi's soul]] and putting it inside of a parakeet, the Hollowfied Shrieker promises that if Youichi can escape him for three months at a time, he'll bring the child's mother back to life (something he can't do). Able to track Youichi's soul, Shrieker kills and devours anybody who tries to help Youichi, feeding off the psychological torment it causes, as much as the actual souls.

* Mayuri Kurotsuchi is the Gotei 13's resident {{mad scientist}} who frequently conducts experiments on living subjects. He uses his unwilling subordinates as human bombs, and at one point blows up a survivor because bombs "aren't supposed to come back." He is also responsible for conducting grotesque human experiments on the Quincies, and keeps a picture of one of his mutilated victims on his person as a trophy. After the Soul Society Arc Mayuri no longer acts as an antagonist to the heroes, but he's still the most vile and depraved out of all the Gotei 13, and it's clear that he only works for the good guys for the chance to work on his sadistic experiments without repercussions. In fact, Mayuri was willing to kill all of his fellow Gotei 13 members by destroying the pocket dimension they were in just to take out Aizen. He was only stopped from doing this by his subordinates' interference. Mayuri also displays a callous disregard for the life of his [[OppositeSexClone "daughter"]] Nemu. He savagely beat her after she had been severely injured and, when an enemy had reduced her to a withered husk, Mayuri's only response was a spike of scientific fascination.

Once Wonderweiss had successfully absorbed the flames of this person's weapon, Aizen had arranged it so that Wonderweiss self-destructed, nearly taking out a city with him in the process. Finally, when Aizen had achieved [[PhysicalGod physical godhood]], he tested out his abilities by calmly walking through a human city, knowing that his powers caused anyone who came into close proximity with him to blow up. In the end Aizen ended up killing over a dozen civilians, and planned on doing the same to Ichigo's human friends just so he could mock Ichigo by hanging up their corpses on display.

These guys are TheHeartless, with a fair FreudianExcuse for their acts, but some take it [[MoralEventHorizon too goddamn far]] when they don't even ''need'' to.

These are the BishounenLine for the Hollows. At best, they're likely to be a JerkAss. At worst.... well, keep reading.

The guardians of the Soul Society [[CreepyGood are]] [[IdiotBall many]] [[JerkAss things]], [[SociopathicHero much of]] [[BloodKnight them]] [[KnightTemplar bad]], but rarely are they ''ever'' as bad as this.

* The Hollow Shrieker was shown to have been a Complete Monster even ''before'' he turned into a Hollow. A serial killer who stabbed a woman named Shibata to death and got off on it, his greatest regret was being killed before being able to do the same to the woman's young son, Yuichi. After he became a Hollow, he sealed poor Yuichi's soul into the body of a parakeet and lied to him, saying that if he could escape from him for three months, he'd revive his mother - and Shrieker would kill and eat the souls of anyone trying to help the child. He gets a very appropriate comeuppance, however - after Ichigo kills him, he is sent to Hell by Rukia for the serious crimes he committed whilst still alive, because the ''Zanpakuto'' can only cleanse Hollows of sins committed whilst being AlwaysChaoticEvil. Shrieker is the ''only'' Hollow seen to receive this treatment, which says a ''lot'' about how bad he was - even Grand Fisher, listed below, was only a CompleteMonster whilst a Hollow (or otherwise hadn't committed sufficiently serious sins whilst human).

* Szayel Aporro Granz, the 8th Espada. As a MadScientist for the arrancar, Szayel likes nothing more than pulling the organs out of people via voodoo dolls and then smashing them to bits. In particular, before the organ-breaking began, he toyed with his enemies' heads by ripping apart one out of two voodoo dolls in half, only to reveal that the only parts that can be felt from a voodoo doll are the toy-like organs on the inside. Beforehand, he had specifically modified his underlings to serve as healing aids - by devouring them whole, he'd be able to heal himself. Now, in regards [[BodyHorror of what he did]] to poor [[TheWoobie Nemu]]...well, bluntly put, one of his abilities allowed him to invade any convenient host (the petite Nemu) that had maintained physical contact with him during his death, devour Nemu from the inside to reconstruct his original body, ''horribly'' enlarging Nemu's stomach and emaciating her to near-death, and then burst fully grown from her mouth head-first, leaving Nemu an anorexic husk, whose condition was so bad that she had to get '''groped by her father to get healed back to normal'''. What's worse is that the amount of time it took for ''that'' to finish was just a tad bit too long, giving the impression that he was initially trying to [[FridgeHorror burst through her "special opening", before deciding to move out of her mouth instead.]] He also deconstructs the trope of AvengingTheVillain by stating that he is the younger brother of Ilfort, an arrancar that Renji had killed, but has no intention of avenging him. In fact, he infected his brother with mini-spy cameras in order to gain an advantage in their fight, even comparing the loss of his brother with the loss of a box. All in all, he is so terrible [[spoiler:that he is one of two of the Espada to end up in Hell (the second being Aaroniero Arruruerie).]]

* Mayuri Kurotsuchi, the Gotei 13's resident MadScientist, was introduced like this, being responsible for the death of Ishida's grandfather, conducting experiments on living subjects and making use of [[WhyAmITicking human bombs]] - even exploding one of them just because "a bomb isn't supposed to come back". However, through CharacterizationMarchesOn, he is now being portrayed as a JerkAss SociopathicHero for whom [[MagnificentBastard it is possible to actually root for]], [[EvilerThanThou especially when he's up against Szayel]]. His previous actions seem to have been [[KarmaHoudini swept under the rug]]...and [[BaseBreaker many fans don't agree with this]].
** After using Ashisogi Jizo on Uryu to take away his ability to move, he says that killing him would be just as easy as strangling a baby. Based on what you know about him by this point, you probably can wonder if he's talking from experience.
** The anime cuts out a certain part of the manga where he actually explain what experiments on the Quincy he performed: pure acts of savagery and sadism with zero scientific value, unless you are the most fucked up scientist who ever lived. He's the Josef Mengele of the Soul Society. As you read the following quote, note the ''expression'' on his face while he says that. One of the most insane {{Nightmare Face}}s around.

Forced one to burn his own son to death. Chopped up bodies. Ground bodies. Studied them until they were rendered piles of lifeless limbs!''
* Longtime BigBad Sosuke Aizen has pretty much qualified for this since he was first outed as a villain: he manipulated his naive lieutenant Momo Hinamori to be devoutly loyal and supportive of him by adopting a kind professor's facade, and coldly stabbed her while hugging her, nearly shattering her sanity and incapacitating her for well over a month. The kicker? His manipulations were so successful that ''she still believed he was innocent, even after nearly dying by his hand''.
** Continuing further, several years beforehand, Aizen had forcibly spawned monstrous abominations inside eight shinigami officers to test out his latest experiment, coldly slashed or insulted the few that actually managed to maintain any sort of sanity to accelerate the process, intended to murder every last one of them almost immediately thereafter, and when that failed, deviously placed the blame on several of his superiors instead, thereby prompting the feudal government to (attempt to) exile or incarcerate each of them. What's worse is that, by transforming the eight officers into Hollow hybrids, Aizen had destroyed the officers' chances of ever being accepted back by their friends and colleagues, having been turned into the Soul Society's most feared and detested of adversaries, as well as sullying the reputations of the three exiles, all three of whom were assumed to have been dead, disappeared or were painted as co-conspirators by their friends, colleagues and superiors.
** Aizen wanted to negate Yamamoto's Zanpakuto, so he turned Wonderweiss Margera into an [[EmpathicWeapon zanpakuto-negating]] arrancar. In essence, Aizen erased all of Wonderweiss' intelligence, speech, memory, reasoning and emotions, in order for the ability-negating aspect to work efficiently, all so that Wonderweiss could negate the abilities of '''one person'''. It's so bad that ''Yamamoto himself'', a hardened veteran of countless scars and battles - is disgusted to the point of actually calling him out on it, Aizen justifies it by claiming that, since [[TheHeartless hollows]] (Wonderweiss' species) lack a purpose in life, turning one of them into an autistic doll was his way of giving Wonderweiss' existence ''meaning'', retorting that ''Yamamoto'' was the [[NeverMyFault cruel one for killing Wonderweiss and destroying the very same purpose that Aizen essentially forced upon Wonderweiss]]. Not done yet: Aizen modified Wonderweiss to negate Yamamoto's fire-generating abilities, but made it so that those very same flames were sealed ''inside'' of Wonderweiss, who promptly ''exploded, nearly destroying an entire city'' almost immediately after his death. [[FridgeHorror Then there's the implications of Wonderweiss not being that willing to do this in the first place]].
** Of course, Aizen managed to beat the rap by being a MagnificentBastard for the majority of the time.... which makes his act of [[spoiler:tricking Hitsugaya with an illusion into stabbing his childhood friend, Hinamori - the very same lieutenant who Aizen [[BreakTheCutie broke]] beforehand]] all the more horrific, and finally cemented him as an asshole through-and-through by much of the fandom, even several of his own fans. It's really clear here that Aizen could have effortlessly created the illusion they were attacking out of thin air. He actively chose to use another person for it, and at that specifically chose Hinamori whom he had already messed with.
** Also, once he became a [[spoiler:PhysicalGod]], his very ''[[WalkingWasteland presence]]'' [[WalkingWasteland was so powerful that it caused anyone who was near him - many human civilians - to blow up]], killing over a dozen civilians, while he casually walked his way through a city. Why, you ask? Well, to give you an idea, when he met a human that was spiritually-aware enough to actually see souls, Aizen warned the guy not to get near to him....just for Aizen himself to walk closer to the human in question, promptly killing the guy seconds later; [[ForTheEvulz it was all for him to show off his new-found powers, as a means to quench his narcissism]]. After that, when he finally met Ichigo's human friends, he planned to [[spoiler: horribly butcher them in the same manner as he did to the previous human from above, then hang up their corpses on display just to get a reaction from Ichigo.]]
** The bastard even lampshades his Complete Monster status - he claims to be [[AboveGoodAndEvil above such "petty" things]] [[TheUnfettered as ethics and morality]], [[MoralEventHorizon as he claims they would serve no other purpose than to limit his potential]]. In fact, this is why Aizen is such a terrifying and despicable person: he sees himself as an {{Ubermensch}} who is above everyone else, and is thus exempt from the notions of morality and decency adopted by "lesser beings", even mocking them as useless notions only the weak would cling to. Therefore, in his mind, he has the right to do whatever he wants, since he's so powerful that nobody can stop him from doing so.

* Grand Fisher. His power consisted of [[ManipulativeBastard creating a lure based on the memories of somebody or assuming the form of his past victims in order to prevent someone from attacking.]] Not only did he do this with Ichigo's mother, but he also got off on it, treating it as a game. His favorite victims were women and children. [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome It's immensely satisfying to see Isshin curb stomp him after Grand Fisher turns into an arrancar.]]

* Yammy Llargo mass-murders ''tons'' of innocent humans, and deliberately suffocates Tatsuki with his presence by waling up to her. Once he loses an arm to a fight, it gets reattached by a nurse. He wants to see if it works, so he [[ungratefulBastard bashes in her skull]] and mumbles that if it really was at full strength, he would've [[LackOfEmpathy split her in half]]. After ''that'', he punches Menoly through a wall while she had her back turned, and ''brutalizes'' Loly when she was protecting Orihime from him.

''{{Bleach}}'' has LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters, but the sheer depravity of a particular few is enough to warrant an addition to this page.

* Szayel Aporro Granz, the 8th Espada. As a MadScientist for the arrancar, Szayel likes nothing more than pulling the organs out of people via voodoo dolls and then smashing them to bits. In particular, before the organ-breaking began, he toyed with his enemies' heads by ripping apart one out of two voodoo dolls in half, only to reveal that the only parts that can be felt from a voodoo doll are the toy-like organs on the inside. Beforehand, he had specifically modified his underlings to serve as healing aids - by devouring them whole, he'd be able to heal himself. Now, in regards [[BodyHorror of what]] [[HighOctaneNightmareFuel he did]] to poor [[TheWoobie Nemu]]...well, bluntly put, one of his abilities allowed him to invade any convenient host (the petite Nemu) that had maintained physical contact with him during his death, devour Nemu from the inside to reconstruct his original body, ''horribly'' enlarging Nemu's stomach and emaciating her to near-death, and then burst fully grown from her mouth head-first, leaving Nemu an anorexic husk, whose condition was so bad that she had to get '''groped by her father to get healed back to normal'''. What's worse is that the amount of time it took for ''that'' to finish was just a tad bit too long, giving the impression that he was initially trying to [[FridgeHorror burst through her "special opening", before deciding to move out of her mouth instead.]] He also deconstructs the trope of AvengingTheVillain by stating that he is the younger brother of Ilfort, an arrancar that Renji had killed, but has no intention of avenging him. In fact, he infected his brother with mini-spy cameras in order to gain an advantage in their fight, even comparing the loss of his brother with the loss of a box. All in all, he is so terrible [[spoiler:that he is one of two of the Espada to end up in Hell (the second being Aaroniero Arruruerie).]]
* Mayuri Kurotsuchi, the Gotei 13's resident MadScientist, was introduced like this, being responsible for the death of Ishida's grandfather, conducting experiments on living subjects and making use of [[WhyAmITicking human bombs]] - even exploding one of them just because "a bomb isn't supposed to come back". However, through CharacterizationMarchesOn, he is now being portrayed as a JerkAss HeroicSociopath for whom [[MagnificentBastard it is possible to actually root for]], [[EvilerThanThou especially when he's up against Szayel]]. His previous actions seem to have been [[KarmaHoudini swept under the rug]]...and [[BaseBreaker many fans don't agree with this]].
** After using Ashisogi Jizo on Uryu to take away his ability to move, he says that killing him would be just as easy as strangling a baby. Based on what you know about him by this point, you probably can wonder if he's talking from experience.
** The anime cuts out a certain part of the manga where he actually explain what experiments on the Quincy he performed: pure acts of savagery and sadism with zero scientific value, unless you are the most fucked up scientist who ever lived. He's the Josef Mengele of the Soul Society.

* The Hollow Shrieker was shown to have been a Complete Monster even ''before'' he turned into a Hollow. A serial killer who stabbed a woman named Shibata to death and got off on it, his greatest regret was being killed before being able to do the same to the woman's young son, Yuichi. After he became a Hollow, he sealed poor Yuichi's soul into the body of a parakeet and lied to him, saying that if he could escape from him for three months, he'd revive his mother - and Shrieker would kill and eat the souls of anyone trying to help the child. He gets a very appropriate comeuppance, however - after Ichigo kills him, he is sent to Hell by Rukia for the serious crimes he committed whilst still alive, because the ''Zanpakuto'' can only cleanse Hollows of sins committed whilst being AlwaysChaoticEvil. Shrieker is the ''only'' Hollow seen to receive this treatment, which says a ''lot'' about how bad he was - even Grand Fisher, listed below, was only a Complete Monster whilst a Hollow (or otherwise hadn't committed sufficiently serious sins whilst human).

* Longtime BigBad Sosuke Aizen has pretty much qualified for this since he was first outed as a villain: he manipulated his naive lieutenant Momo Hinamori to be devoutly loyal and supportive of him by adopting a kind professor's facade, and coldly stabbed her while hugging her, nearly shattering her sanity and incapacitating her for well over a month. The kicker? His manipulations were so successful that ''she still believed he was innocent, even after nearly dying by his hand''.
** Continuing further, several years beforehand, Aizen had forcibly spawned monstrous abominations inside eight shinigami officers to test out his latest experiment, coldly slashed or insulted the few that actually managed to maintain any sort of sanity to accelerate the process, intended to murder every last one of them almost immediately thereafter, and when that failed, deviously placed the blame on several of his superiors instead, thereby prompting the feudal government to (attempt to) exile or incarcerate each of them. What's worse is that, by transforming the eight officers into Hollow hybrids, Aizen had destroyed the officers' chances of ever being accepted back by their friends and colleagues, having been turned into the Soul Society's most feared and detested of adversaries, as well as sullying the reputations of the three exiles, all three of whom were assumed to have been dead, disappeared or were painted as co-conspirators by their friends, colleagues and superiors.
** Of course, Aizen managed to beat the rap by being a MagnificentBastard for the majority of the time.... which makes his act of [[spoiler:tricking Hitsugaya with an illusion into stabbing his childhood friend, Hinamori - the very same lieutenant who Aizen [[BreakTheCutie broke]] beforehand]] all the more horrific, and finally cemented him as an asshole through-and-through by much of the fandom, even several of his own fans. It's really clear here that Aizen could have effortlessly created the illusion they were attacking out of thin air. He actively chose to use another person for it, and at that specifically chose Hinamori whom he had already messed with.
** Also, once he became a [[spoiler:PhysicalGod]], his very ''[[WalkingWasteland presence]]'' [[WalkingWasteland was so powerful that it caused anyone who was near him - many human civilians - to blow up]], killing over a dozen civilians, while he casually walked his way through a city. Why, you ask? Well, to give you an idea, when he met a human that was spiritually-aware enough to actually see souls, Aizen warned the guy not to get near to him....just for Aizen himself to walk closer to the human in question, promptly killing the guy seconds later; [[ForTheEvulz it was all for him to show off his new-found powers, as a means to quench his narcissism]]. After that, when he finally met Ichigo's human friends, he planned to [[spoiler: horribly butcher them in the same manner as he did to the previous human from above, then hang up their corpses on display just to get a reaction from Ichigo.]]
** The bastard even lampshades his Complete Monster status - he claims to be [[AboveGoodAndEvil above such "petty" things]] [[TheUnfettered as ethics and morality]], as he claims they would serve no other purpose than to limit [[HighOctaneNightmareFuel his]] [[MoralEventHorizon potential]]. In fact, this is why Aizen is such a terrifying and despicable person: he sees himself as an {{Ubermensch}} who is above everyone else, and is thus exempt from the notions of morality and decency adopted by "lesser beings", even mocking them as useless notions only the weak would cling to. Therefore, in his mind, he has the right to do whatever he wants, since he's so powerful that nobody can stop him from doing so.

* Implied with Kageroza Inaba in the Invading Gotei 13 {{filler}} arc. His behavior towards Nozomi is rather questionable, to the point where her default reaction for Inaba is like that ''of a rape victim.'' [[spoiler:It turns out he really, REALLY wanted to get close to her to have a FusionDance with her so that he could become his original self again.]]
