* TransgenderFetishization: While transformed into a girl, Senou is considered one of (if not ''the'') most beautiful women in his school. The show loves to put him into sexual/fanservice situations while in that form, moreso than any other girl. The show also has a very cagey depiction of lesbianism which furthers the trope: the characters outright define "lesbian" as [[ExperimentedInCollege girls who have feelings for each other during puberty]], and the droves of adoring male and female admirers have no real interest beyond fetishizing him (this is PlayedForLaughs) with Senou's serious {{Love Interest}}s almost all preferring his male form. The sole exception is Sakura, who is ''only'' interested in Female Senou but [[spoiler:is later revealed to fall into the PsychoLesbian and ManipulativeBitch tropes]].

* AboveTheInfluence: Despite [[IdiotHero many]], [[FauxActionGirl many]], [[PinballProtagonist many]] [[SatelliteLoveInterest personal]] [[WhatMeasureIsANonBadass flaws]] Natsuru has had the decency not to take advantage of [[InnocentFanserviceGirl Saura]] in the face of [[FuroScene many]] opportunties.

* {{Crossover}}: A {{Cameo}} example in the manga has Cecilia and Rin from ''Literature/InfiniteStratos'' appear as background characters in chapter 34. As well as characters like Yozora, Sena and Maria from ''Literature/{{Haganai}}'' in chapter 40.

* LoveTriangle: [[TriangRelations Type 4]], with Natsuru in "a", Sakura in "b" and [[GenderBender Natsuru]] [[TwoPersonLoveTriangle in "c"]]. There's also a [[TriangRelations Type 5]], with "a", "b" and "c" being Akane, Natsuru and Sakura.

* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: For a series like this, its surprising that theres an example of this. Basically, Shizuku and Akane invite themselves to go along with Natsuru (in female form) to Sakura's house. Sakura, being the not so subtle person she is, buys multiple bags of Pocky (otherwise known in-verse as Packy) to play the kissing game. This leads to Shizuku and Akane kissing and what ensues makes it look like Shizuku has ravished Akane, complete with Akane completely sprawled out on the couch, utterly agog at how good Shizuku is. Whoof hot and heavy indeed......

* WorldOfCardboardSpeech: Shizuku explaining her refusal to fight Akane and Natsuru. Natsuru falls asleep in the middle of it.
** Dunno if it's this trope or not but in episode 11 [[spoiler: Natsuru declaring that he chooses Akane, Shizuku, and Mikoto and to prove it, he transforms back to male.]]

* ZettaiRyouiki: Grade A on our hero ([[GenderBender ine]])! Also, the StudentCouncilPresident--and Mikoto, in later episodes.

* BreakingTheFourthWall: Characters constantly are pointing out who other characters are voiced by in real life. Although usually they'll only say they sound a lot like the voice actor, occasionally they'll say something like: ''"For something voiced by Creator/NanaMizuki, you sure say some pretty queer things!"'' It should be noted that those voice references actually ''did'' occur in the light novel. Natsuru makes the [[Anime/{{Doraemon}} Shizuka-chan]] reference, while the Tamura and Mizuki references came from otaku-TV enthusiast Akane. The Burnt Lion, the oldest of the Entrails Animals, is described in the novels as voiced by someone who dubs a lot of foreign movies. The anime cast Creator/KenjiUtsumi for that role.

** In Episode 6, Harakiri Tora tells Natsuru he had a dream about "...becoming a [[Anime/{{Doraemon}} bath-loving girl. And then a guy with glasses and a robot]]--".One of the ghost in the haunted house is [[Anime/GalaxyAngel Nomad]]. Also in the same episode, Mikoto yells out "[[Anime/{{Basquash}} Destroy]]!" during her first fight.

*** Episode 11: Theatre/RomeoAndJuliet. The twist? Both narrated by Creator/KenjiUtsumi and MichikoNomura [[Anime/{{Doraemon}} (original Shizuka)]]. Who are married.
