When she comes back to him after a long while... it has already died. She cries and blames herself for letting her best friend die, while a nearby old man tries to comfort her that Jerry isn't actually dead. In a perfect MoodWhiplash moment, the old man reveals himself to be Jerry, which has now turned into a dog monster and attempts to devour the girl ("Of course, he's... '''RIGHT BEHIND YOU!!!'''"). Putting aside that this is the moment that bolts Gintoki up from his sleep with [[ScreamsLikeALittleGirl a girly scream of terror]] (widely considered to be the most perfectly hilarious), you will indeed cry in laughter at just how bizarre and sudden the MoodWhiplash is, going from a sad story into a ''horror'' story.

** The ending: As the Yorozuya trio, Sadaharu, and Katsura all fight over who will be winner over the last game, a masculine voice coming from Elizabeth calls it quits and we see a man crawl out of the costume. [[TheUnreveal But the broadcast cuts before we get to see who this man was]]. [[note]] Non-canonically, it's the show's director; canonically, it's Prince Dragonia.[[/note]]

Yep, after everything was revealed in broad daylight, Katsura was still oblivious that he hanged out with a fake Elizabeth all this time. Understandably, Elizabeth uses his bazooka on Katsura as well.

Additionally, he doesn't even ''bother'' to cover up for him like he did with Okita and Hijikata!
