Overprotective Dad has been disambiguated

* HelicopterParents: Lynn Sr is incredibly protective of Linka. To the point that she's not allowed to go anywhere without one of her brothers escorting her, and them taking her anywhere is taken with the same seriousness as one of them asking to borrow the car. When Lincoln went out unsupervised like he would back home, Lynn Sr is furious with her and the boys for letting her leave by herself.
** It's also implied that he taught every son born since the incident (or at the very least Leif) from as early as possible that their sister's safety was the most important thing in their life. To the point that Leif cannot understand it when she tells him she doesn't need his protection.
** At one point he actually considered getting her home schooled so she'd never have to leave the house again. Only to have the idea shot down by Rita and Loki.

A Date With Rosie Palms is no longer a trope

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

* OutOfFocus: Levi, despite being the one to invent the dimensional goggles and also being Lincoln's closest thing he has to an ally in dimension 63, is oddly enough typically unimportant in most chapters. This wouldn't feel so out of place if it weren't for the fact that, again, he's the closest thing Lincoln has to a guy who can actually help him get back home. Heck, one could say ''[[UpToEleven all of the prime dimension]]'' fits this trope, since despite being Lincoln's mission to return there, we typically don't see this dimension's inhabitants, and when we do, it's for a short time.

** The story takes multiple jabs at Loudcest. Chapter 12 in particular; when recalibrating the interdimensional goggles, Lincoln is shown a reality where Linka and Lynn are in a relationship. Disgusted, Lincoln asks the goggles to filter out all dimensions where either he or Linka is in a relationship with one of their siblings, resulting in [[UpToEleven 95% of all dimensions]] getting eliminated. Which unfortunately doesn't filter out dimensions where her siblings are in relationships with 'each other'.

Adult Fear is now a disambig

* AdultFear: ''Where do we start?''
** Lincoln is essentially stranded in another dimension far away from home, and with his counterpart taking over and ruining his life while he himself can do nothing about it.
** Going from the above, imagine your brother basically wound up trapped in another dimension thanks to a gadget you designed and told him to test, and he's essentially been replaced by his counterpart from another dimension, who proceeds to change his life without his consent. And it's all basically your fault. [[spoiler: Yeah, you really messed up, Lisa.]]
** The fragment causes Leon to fly and do other strange things in chapter 16. At one point, it causes him to fly high in the sky, where he and Linka then proceed to fall. Sure, they came out okay, but come on!
** Luke' (And Lars') reaction to finding out [[spoiler: Linka is trapped in another dimension and has no desire to go back home]] drips with this, since not only do their big brother instincts kick in, but like Lincoln, they can do nothing about it.
** Several dimensions wind up becoming so broken, their survivors-if there are any-are recruited into the hunter organization to maintain balance to the multiverse. And it's not even clear if all hunters are ''willingly'' a part of the organization...
** There's also Nyla's situation: [[spoiler: she's stranded in another dimension, a wanted fugitive for failing her mission, and she can't even go back to her home dimension because it is left inhospitable.]]
** Whatever happened to the families of the hunters. Nyla recalls her siblings when she sees Linka, and Nell basically ''breaks down'' when she's reminded one too many times of her sister's favorite cinnamon snack.
** In the backstory, [[spoiler: strangers break into your home while your away and brutalize one of your children for no reason]]. no wonder Lynn Sr. and the brothers changed the way they did.

Plot Happens, none of these outcomes are "Surprisingly Realistic" and are just shoehorns

* DidntThinkThisThrough:
** [[spoiler: Lincoln points out that giving barely discernible riddles for fragment locations doesn't help in finding them.]]
** [[SarcasmMode Believe it or not]], favoring one kid over the others not only hurts the other kids, but if you go on to treat that kid in a way they don't feel comfortable, they'll have no incentive to ''ever'' go back home if they find a better place to live. Am I right, [[spoiler: Linka]].
** One could say this happens every single time Lincoln reveals his true identity, and vice versa with Linka: Just because you're better or more tolerable than the person you're imitating, doesn't mean people will take it nicely once they find out the person they're dealing with is an impostor.

* EpicFail: As it turns out, an incredibly heavy book being thrown by an unathletic pre-teen girl won't travel very far.

** If you try to groom a boy into becoming a good date for your sister, then you have the audacity to ''threaten him'' if he fails, don't expect him to be able to deal with the pressure. [[spoiler: Ron Andy is a good example of this.]]
** As it turns out, for a four year old to accomplish as much as others older than he is who can take years to make the same those same accomplishments, requires a ridiculous amount of work, no matter how smart you are. And even then, the boy can still run into older rivals who wish to see him fail. It gets to the point that Levi ''embraces'' any oppurtunity he has to just be a normal boy.
** Chapter 23; in a trading card game, strategy is just as important, if not more, as the kind of cards you have in your deck, and you need at least some experience in the game before hoping to win a big match. Chandler is a beginner when it comes to Duel Monsters, and, as Lincoln points out, picked her cards entirely based on their looks, not their effects or how they could work together, hence why she loses.
** Lincoln finally gets to go to 'Take your daughter to work day', only to find out that it's only a boring lecture by her mothers boss, and that the girls have only been having fun by running riot in the office.
*** The boys tried doing the same on their first 'Take your son to work day', and got banned from ever going to another one. Linka was only permitted to attend afterwards since she was known for being much better behaved than her brothers. Lincoln figures out that his sisters' rampages at their father's job made it that he wouldn't be welcome there.

** Linka-in-Lincoln's body overpowers Lincoln-in-Linka's in every point where they get into fisticuffs. An unathletic little girl just can't win with brute force against a boy who recently went through a rigorous training regiment courtesy of Pop Pop.

* PerfectionIsImpossible: Lincoln points out that the 'perfect world' that Cryptos is trying to create is impossible, since he's trying to create a universe that is perfect for 'everyone', forgetting that everyone has a different definition of perfect. For example his world will be one were everyone wins and that everything there is to learn has been learned. When Lincoln points out that is not part of Lynn and Lisa's definition of perfect, he backpedals on those aspects, only for Lincoln to point out that a universe where people have to struggle to suceed and there are things left to learn isn't perfect by 'his own' definition.
