Unbeknownst to you she's trying to cope with some serious trauma and your attempts to put up boundaries push her away. You lose your temper and she runs away from home, becoming homeless for a time. When she does come back to you she's so traumatized that you have zero idea how you're supposed to fix this. On top of all of that as soon as the world is in danger she doesn't hesitate to throw herself into the fray and there's nothing that you can do.
