* OldShame: [=TenNapel=] originally wanted nothing to do with ''VideoGame/EarthwormJim'' (the video game and the cartoon it's based on). The video game didn't come out the way he wanted it, and the cartoon (despite being very funny and very memorable for a lot of people whose childhood was between 1989 and 1999) was just a cheap tie-in for the video games. He eventually stated that he would be interested in revisiting Jim, but the rights are a tangled mess, and he likely wouldn't have the creative control needed to avoid the {{Executive Meddling}} that caused the above issues.

Why do we need to put his viewpoint on gay marriage? Can I just put his position on abortion and capital punishment if I felt like it?

[=TenNapel=] is a devout Christian and often includes religious themes in his works. The old version was far more negative than the one I wrote; I checked his blog to see if any of the negativity was warranted, and, as I recall, concluded that it was notable enough for inclusion in at least some form. The most diplomatic way I felt I could phrase it was by using the adverb \"staunchly\", which in hindsight might not have been a good idea. Apologies for misunderstanding the situation. Also, I\'m not sure we really need to include the lengthy sentence about what he is specifically for or against, as it will likely fall under the domain of Examples Are Not Recent soon. Relegating it to a note for now. Oh, and Zero Context Examples.

A Doug [=TenNapel=] title is very easy to spot due to his love both of monsters and of utterly-insane character designs.

[=TenNapel=] is a devout Christian and often includes religious themes in his works. Sometimes its subtle (such as ''Monster Zoo''), sometimes it's more overt (''Black Cherry'' or ''Iron West'', for example).

Still, talk is cheap, as they say. It's easy to just say he's helmed a lot of projects. As proof of our claim, allow us to present you with this here list:
