Main Excellent
Man alive, I never thought to find a good piece of suspense/horror fiction in video game satire, but this definitely takes the cake. If I had to critique anything, it would only be that Billy doesn't really act or think like an eight-year-old (I'd buy it if he was eleven, though) and that's about it. The pacing is great, and the build-up towards the climax is very well done. Definitely worth reading, even if you haven't played the game itself.
Main great disturbing read!!
Agreed with the previous reviewer, you just can't stop reading it. But first and formost, i must admit i haven't played any AC game, but i get the gist of it. So when heard about this fan fic i kinda brushed it of as Fan Wank nonsense. Or at least a lame attempt at Faux Scary. It starts off kinda satirical, and tongue and cheek-ish (almost as if it's trying to emotionally "disarm you") but it gets darker and VERY disturbing later on. Great fan fic!!
Main Amazing Horror Story
Me and my friend started reading this for fun one night, and we were so fascinated that we couldn't stop reading. A few great twists, generally scary, and the illustrations did a lot to help add to it. All in all, if you like horror stories, this would be a perfect thing to read.
Main A scary piece of dark fic, but don't read it if you ever want to play the original game again.
My review, like the ones posted before me, is brief: This is the best let's play I have ever read. A let's play of animal crossing through photographs, with nothing bot original in game content, to tell a well written, well planned out story. The tale is full of suspense, horror, and drama, and is one of the most dark deconstructions of any work of fiction I have ever read.
However, it, as other reviewers have said, will stick with you. If you ever go back to play the game again, it will be all you can think about. If you're looking for a scary story, this is the ur example, but beware that this is no holds barred high octane nightmare fuel, doubly so if you played the game.
