The Four Kings have revived into new bodies for unknown reasons...but rather than figure out why or how, Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite are REALLY just obsessed with bedding their respective Sailor Soldier in order to become...MAIN CHARACTER!
The premise of this story isn't original in and of itself - villains from the past are reviving due to mysterious circumstances is a common fanfic trope. So is "The Four Kings hook up with the Guardian Senshi". But as usual, the execution is what matters, and in Four King Hell, the wacky characterizations of the titular Four Kings and the Senshi's absolute revulsion to them make this a hysterical divergence from the expected path such a story would usually take.
The main hook of the comic is the way it lets all of these diverse characters interact in ways they couldn't during their story arcs on the show. As the story progresses, more and more characters return from the past. Since they keep coming to live with Mamoru, you eventually have a situation where a number of characters who never even met in canon are having storylines together. Ever wanted to see Zoisite and Fish-Eye go shopping? Koan put the fear of God into Jadeite? Haruka crack Nephrite's spine over her knee? All here.
At first the comic is mostly a string of mostly raunchy jokes that pokes fun at the storylines and characterizations of Sailor Moon. Eventually it Grows The Beard as the plot proper starts up, though this doesn't actually stop the humor from coming. It does mean that eventually we do see the Sailor Senshi suit up and fight, so it's not just romantic comedy.
The only real downside to this comic is it's sporadic update schedule, sometimes taking breaks that last for months and then posting a precious handful of pages. As of this review, the story is up to 157 pages and seems to be posting one every week or so, but there doesn't appear to be an official schedule. The art is also a little weak in the earlier pages, though it gets significantly better as the comic continues to run. The author clearly infuses her own style into these characters while ensuring they remain recognizable.
If you like Sailor Moon, and you really like to see fanfic tropes turned on their head and mined for laughs, Four King Hell is a good bet.
