Was the complete and utter demonization of Shining Armor really necessary? Yes, he screwed up. He acted like a complete Jerk Ass to Twilight, but he was being mind controlled. I wouldn't make this an issue except that the author, based on the fic itself and her comments, seems to believe Shining was acting of his own free will when he in fact wasn't, and constantly portrays him as a scapegoating idiot who tries to "pass the buck", when in fact he's not nearly as at fault as the author thinks he is.
All in all, a decent read, but the constant demonization and bashing of Shining gets pretty old fast.
Also, I won't spoil anything, but am I the only one who finds the plot twists leading to Abundance to reek of Diabolus Ex Machina?
