Shay Guy's review

Would you believe I didn't discover Genma's Daughter until after reading Equal Halves? And that it took me a while to realize that they were prequel and sequel? :P Seriously, though, Goldsmith's a very good writer, even if she tends to melodrama, but what I don't like is how EVERYTHING wrong with Ranma's life is blamed on his ignorance of, and later his difficulty in accepting, one fact. It almost seems like a Warped Aesop at times — "Everything would be perfect if you'd just embrace it!" And, indeed, by the end, everything is. This becomes especially noticeable in EH, particularly since the "leaking chaos" explanation ceases to hold water in the canon Ranmaverse it crosses over with. So mixed feelings, I guess. :/
