I Can't Believe I Never Saw This Movie

Go West is honestly an amazing, underrated gem that I'm baffled that I've not seen before. It's not perfect, in fact there's a lot of small scenes that never really go anywhere and often feels a little pointless, but what there is here is passion, and LOTS of it.

For a sleeper film in 2007, the animation is just absolutely stunning. From the wide pan shots to the over the top action scenes that are simply... mesmerizing to watch, it's clear that the team had a lot of fun making this movie. That's not to say for the characters either. Lucky Luke, judging by the name itself, could have come off as this bumbling idiot who just stumbles into victory all the time, but he's actually very competent and has a level of confidence that comes from experience, which makes the villain reactions to his counter-plays all the more entertaining to see unfold.

Whether you're a Lucky Luke fan or just an animation lover, Go West: A Lucky Luke Adventure is well worth a watch.
