In my personal opinion, Sentaku-Bune deserves more credit for their creativity, ability to pull off severe plot twist, and bravery to do what many people could not do (or refuse to do). With Sentaku-Bune (intentionally or not) reminding people that Youkai, no matter how cute they look, are still Youkai, Sentaku-Bune made Touhou fandom perfectly balanced between "sweet and cute side" and "dark and horrifying side".
