This fanfiction, despite combining two great franchises, creates in the end, a burning wreck.
There is almost no tension, as the "good guys" from Metal Gear side of crossover, are given Metal Gears with Deus Ex Machina weapons, that easily pierce A.T. fields, and curb-stomp in battle evangelions and angels, despite the fact that in canon, evangelions and angels were durable enough to be a match for Metal Gears even without At.T. Fields. And there was literally given no explanation within the story, for this new, groundbreaking technology. Not to mention, Big Boss gets himself a position of power that makes him outrank Gendo, even though Big Boss himself should be a well established war criminal.
Shinji himself is turned into an completely unsympathetic jerk, and arguably even Jerk Sue, as he easily and quickly learns Close Quarters Combat , to completely(and brutally) dominate Asuka in a fight, who had years of combat training.
And, finally, about Asuka herself in this fic. Poor Asuka. The author attempted(with emphasis on attempted) to turn her into a Ron the Death Eater, but in the end, she still seems more sympathetic than Shinji, and several other characters, like Naomi Hunter, who were supposed to be sympathetic. So through the story, people are horrible to Asuka, with little to no reason, she ends up in an insane asylum, were she's regularly raped, completely broken mentally and commits suicide. And the rapist(who was also her therapist), gets away with it scott free. It is at least the second time the author, Snafu the Great, done something like this(first time, it was in the even worse Pride Comes Before The Fall). This seems to imply the some misogyny on the author's(Snafu the Great's) side, or some other disturbing views, particularly concerning rape.
All in all, don't read it, or read it to see how to NOT write a story.
