I was considering adding Overshadowed by Controversy in regards to the row around Sam Smiths mistaken comments on being the first openly-gay oscar winner, but I'm not sure if it really qualifies yet . There's also possibly the backlash against it that seems part award snub for Lady Gaga's loss and part continuation of an existing issue in that the song is still very much YMMV in terms of enjoyment. Would that trope be applicable in either instance?

I get that this is the YMMV page, but does there really need to be paragraph after paragraph of profuse bitching about every nitpicky detail? A lot of it doesn't even make sense (why would anyone have thought that Vesper's death emotionally destroyed Bond for all time?)

The best way to counter that is to put some tropes you find positive to discuss.

YMMV is supposed to be about opinions, and the general opinions on Spectre are not positive.

Time will redeem this movie. It gets better after the first viewing. There's a huge difference between what the fans want and what the producers can provide. Haven't you ever been disappointed at Christmas when you didnt get exactly what you wanted?
