I'll go ahead and comment this one out for now, since discussions on the main page aren't allowed. If most people disagree, feel free to add it back, but the thing about this is: What other choice did they have? From Thomas's knowledge, they were going to sedate all of them and string them up like the bodies they saw. Right now. No chance of doing anything then, hiding in the vents or anywhere else in the facility would've been worse than what he did (Danger of being found, probably no access to food or water), so what else was there to do?
