Ok, so. If Luffy was smart enough to cook bad food in order to teach the crew a lesson, then he probably wouldn't be dumb enough to use up ALL their supplies, right? I mean if he were really that clever, I don't think he'd purposefully put them at serious risk of starving to death just to make a point.
Luffy is an incredibly consistent character and he's never actually gone out of his way to "mess things up and teach his crew a lesson" in the past.
All in all, isn't it just completely Luffy-like for him to innocently and ignorantly try something new and end up causing disaster? Oh, and let's not forget, I don't think he would've wanted to set the whole kitchen on fire if he was "just trying to make a point".

Since Jinbe has said he will eventually join the Straw Hats, and his crew is now working to assist them, can we moved the "Jinbe will join the Straw Hat Pirates" WMG to "Confirmed?"

It's only confirmed when Jinbe does in fact join. Even though it's VERY unlikely, who knows if Jinbe suddenly dead beforehand, or Luffy had a change of heart and doesn't want him to join, or he joined the pirate alliance instead of being crewmember, etc.

Just out of curiosity, what's with the guy with the squeaky-clean vocabulary? The word "ass" is really too much for you? Not to mention how the phrase Magnificent Bastard is the name of an article on here. I know it's really none of my business, but I'm scrolling through a billion "kick his ['bottom']"s when I'm trying to read these WMG s and it's starting to bug me.

"Luffy is obviously not a Magnificent Bastard (that's non serious WMG) but he's obviously not an idiot, he just had...different way of thinking, like literally jumping into things and acted out whatever he wanted. It is plausible that he 'tried' to manipulate the crew, but just like he sucked at lying, he sucked at cooking too. He probably don't think he'll die, but then again, Luffy often stuck into stupid situation even during serious fight. It's a WILD mass guess after all."
