There's reason to believe that he might be right. Like you said, it's too early to tell. Calling him a nut might be a bit much this early, though.

Parker Terrell, is he a nutter or not? There's no doubt that he's a conspiracy theorist, however information released about the game could indicate that he's right at least about some of his claims, and if he is then he could be right about other things, including a possible character murder. Of course we won't know for sure till we're in the game or get more lore. =)
