So I'm considering doing entries for Edgar Martinez and Frank Thomas. Should I classify them as infielders, or make a Designated Hitters section and move Ortiz in with them?

A DH section would probably be a good idea. Martinez and Ortiz played virtually their entire careers as D Hs so they should definitely go there. Thomas is more debatable. He played more overall games in his career as a DH, but he had his best years while playing first base. I guess use your own judgment on that one.

Is "Manager" really the best place to list Pete Rose here? He's a lot better known for his playing career than his managing career. Admittedly, it's kind of hard to say whether to put him in the infielder folder or the outfielder folder because he played a bunch of time at 5 different positions, but "Manager" seems kind of awkward.

Likewise, should Derek Jeter be on this page instead of on the active Owners page? We have A-Rod and David Ortiz here because that makes sense and it's what they're best known for, even though they're both active broadcasters (at least on occasion).

I agree, Rose should be listed under players; there was nothing particularly notable about his managerial career apart from the betting scandal (and that doesn't appear to have been confined to his time as manager). As regarding position, I haven't checked the stats, but I think he spent more time as an infielder (he did play the outfield for a few years but I tend to remember him as either a third or a first baseman) so I would put him there. And I would definitely keep Jeter here; he hasn't had time yet to make his mark as an owner and even if he eventually does, it will still probably be overshadowed by his playing career.

The position Rose played the most was actually first base (939 games according to his Fangraphs page, compared to around 600 for second base, third base, left field, and right field), but that's largely because he stuck around for so long when he couldn't play any other position anymore. I think I'd also list him as an infielder.
