Cut this:

"*** Actually, the storyline ended a little more than a year before Nick Spencer took over the book, and it was always intended to be a temporary status quo shift that Don Slott used to highlight how Peter worked better as a working-class hero. "

1. Parker Industries spun out of Horizon Labs, which first appeared in Jan 2011. PI was destroyed in an issue dated August 2017, roughly 6 and a half years later. It being "temporary" (most storylines in Long Running superhero comics are) has no bearing on the fact that a large number of Spider-Man comic fans didn't like it.

2. Pete owning his own company was not the only issue people had with his characterization or use in the comic. There were a bunch of tropes attributed to him, such as Boring Failure Hero, Wanst ("ALL MY FAULT!"), and Straw Loser.

3. Slott's intentions do not negate the criticism, considering this trope is called "UNINTENTIONALLY" Unsympathetic.

4. Nick Spencer fixing Peter wasn't referring to PI, it was referring to him acting like a mature adult who could mingle among other people without acting like a complete fool, and rekindling with Mary Jane (which was a VERY positively received turn when it hit. I was there, I saw it).

5. This is a subjective trope, referring to a segment of the fandom's feelings on a character. You do not "correct" it. You disagree with it. Which means you don't post that disagreement on the trope page. That's what forums are for.
