Potentially, though I feel it might make editing more chaotic with adding all those hyperlinks, especially if we end up needing to replace them all on the off-chance the site goes down/moves domain.
Perhaps it'd be more prudent if we include a single link to the compendium in the header paragraph, allowing viewers to search up these fusions at their leisure?
Edited by Enderguy059 IntermissionI admit that I forgot to consider that off-chance. I guess we can main-link the compendium up-top, at least leaving the option for any future editors to direct-link specific examples if it seems pertinent.

Ditto/Hawlucha's alts are Tomohawk, but what folder or page would this go under? Would it be Web Originals, Video Games or somewhere on the Mythology Gag page?
Hop on Pokémon Infinite Fusion Hide / Show RepliesSince we currently have a creepypasta fusion listed under "Other" in the Mythology Gag page, I would assume other such fanworks would go under there.
Though I guess that would beg the question: Do fanworks count as Shout-Out or Mythology Gag?
IntermissionMalady on the forums has stated that cross-fanwork references count as Shout-Outs. Should the creepypasta entries on the Mythology Gag pages be moved here then?
And on top of that, which folder would CAP content fall under then?
Hop on Pokémon Infinite FusionIf that's the ruling, that's what gets done.
Regarding folders, if making a new Fanworks folder isn't appropriate, I'd probably go for Videogames.
IntermissionWhat's that fusion reference?
Trying to find the exact piece of media that a given fusion is referencing can be hard at times. Hence, I figured "Why not consult the collective media knowledge of the TV Tropes user base for the answer?"
If you see a fusion & think it might be a reference to something, but don't know what it is, simply post it in the replies alongside an image link of the fusion in question! I cannot guarantee whether someone will answer, but it's better than being perpetually stumped on the whole thing.
A similar post to this concerning Pokemon media specifically has been created on the Mythology Gag discussion page.
Intermission Hide / Show RepliesTo inaugurate this topic, here are couple fusions whose references (if they are referencing something) are completely lost on me:
IntermissionMaybe see if their artists have made other Shout-Out sprites and the pattern might continue?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576That would be a decent start.
Have there been any artists demonstrating any consistency in the fusions they make? Only notable one I know of is Lumpy, whose sprites are mainly consistently horrifying. He did make a couple Garfield sprites, tho.

Does anyone else think all these examples would benefit from image links? Here's an extensive sprite compendium.
