So what does everyone think of Good News World? I was so disgusted I turned it off halfway through.

I remember seeing the ads for Good News World. I hadn't watched it for a while so I was happy. Then I watched it. Some parts where funny (the puppet pair are awesome) but mostly its incredibly poor comedy. GNW used to satire the news. Now it only has the loosest connections. My jumping the shark moment was when Claire and.... whoever did a WEAK parody of daytime "buy now and....." ads.

There is just so little thought put into the skits. Why is Tom Gleeson breaking teacups funny? When will they give Akmal some decent lines for his "Dress up as someone we're not meant to like" segment?

Part of the joy of GNW was that they all improvised their bits to make it funny. A good chunk of them are clearly struggling with scripted skits.

Yeah, honestly, I can't say that I liked it much. I never missed an episode of Good News Week, now I just don't care. There's really not much opportunity for humour, especially not the improvised humour we all love- and the lack of guests doesn't help, because that was a big part of the draw.

Used to watch GNW every week, and watched the ones online that I missed. Saw about 2 episodes of 'World, missed a couple and then pretty much forgot about it. Last I saw it was playing at about 10:30 at night, I don't think it's done very well. I hope they bring back 'Week next year.
