Uggh, this episode is the point of SF Debris "The Federation is false utopia, based on bigotry, idiocy, laziness and worse, being inept gods to the various aliens they deal with." The writers were right with the idea of inter-species communion by letting their children take in the environment and see what a culture is rather than reading the cover of a book or the index and finishing it. So sad this got non-canon-ized by the executives.

When an idea is formed and practiced, learn NOT from the creators but the reputation the public invest in. Website fine, idiot admins bad!
