Why was it even locked in the first place? None of the other unaired episode recaps are.

It's actually a bug from the "upgrade". For some reason, if you go back to a page using the menu bar arrows while you're editing it instead of saving or cancelling, it "edit locks" the page because it "thinks" it's still being editted.
Yeah, that's one bug the upgrade never fixed.
The episode just aired on Discovery Family. The editing should be unlocked now.
