So, here's a question. If someone travels back in time, accidentally alters the past, then tries to fix the problem so he can go home ("home" being his own time with the correct timeline in place) but then finds out that it's not possible to fix the alteration, and no matter what, the present will be somehow different in a major, world altering way, even if it's benign, is that this trope (home is a reality that doesn't exist and thus can't be gone back to) or Stranger in a Familiar Land (home is there, but the character literally doesn't fit?)
