Are any of the wartime cartoons censored because of their references to Germans? The objection to the Japanese caricatures is racism. Germans—and especially Nazis!—are white, and therefore not the victims of racism.

Is it me, or are quite a few of the "modern-day homages and parodies" under South Park and Family Guy not actually references to wartime cartoons at all? They just seem to be jokes about present-day wars.
