Hey. So I was adding more and more tropes to the first list - the one before the The "Screw X, I Have/I'm Y" list - and while I was having a great time doing it, it just kept going and going. I fear that with a page theme as flexible and inclusive as this, then eventually the page will start to lose its original meaning as more and more is added to it. I was thinking that we could add the first list to a Just for Fun page - maybe JustForFun/ScrewThisIndexIHaveTropes - and leave the "Screw X, I Have/I'm Y" list on the page proper.
I dunno. What do you guys think?
Edited by EvilerThanThou Hide / Show RepliesThat seems like a good idea. It appears that just about any trope can be reduced to the Screw X/I have... snowclone, but that's not really what this index is for.
I thought of a version that applies to me (in real life): Screw the norm, I have Asperger's (Syndrome). Maybe someone could make a page like Screw the norm, I'm above average. (above meaning better-ranking on some scale, e.g. IQ, or meaning "I'm not going to sink to their level," i.e. their whole scale isn't worth my time dealing with it, e.g. "I'm not jumping off a bridge just because everyone else is!"-type thing.)
I would like to propose the following new trope:
Screw the Rules, There are none!
Does anyone have any ideas?
Hide / Show RepliesBasically, what we would have is,in a particular situation there aren't really any rules,so one would be justified in screwing the non-existent rules anyway.
Trying to think where "Screw the Rules, I'm Adorable" and "Screw the Rules, I'm a Kid" might fit.
