Do we have a trope for romance between a man and his ship?

An element of that in Killjoys, Doctor Who with his Tardis, and also Bill Borshenko + Auntie in Rifts World Book 2 Phase World.

Does not have to be mutual. More common seems when ship is attracted to pilot but it is unreciprocated, or (i cannot recwll seeing this) if pilot loves ship but ship does not love him back.

Andromeda also has.both examples. Eponymous Andromeda clearly has hots for Dylan but he hooks up with humans instead, while Sheamus Zelazny Harper has hots for her but she (like most women) repel his flirtations.

Maybe some others too... It seems recurrant enogh. I will propose creating it if it does not exist. Not sure what to call. Maybe Man Loves Ship or Ship Loves Man ?

I guess "captain" or "pilot" could be more appropriate although I don't know any females who love a vehicle or who are loved by a vehicle.

Would Eureka's connection to Nirvash (Eureka Seven) be machine empathy or technopathy? Nirvash is to an extent alive and Eureka can sense via physical contact if Nirvash is scared or happy.

Dude..... come on. Akio Asakura, and Jun Kitami, from Wangan Midnight. The only two characters that truly think of cars as living, breathing entities.
