Bit of politics is it not? Sure modern apartment buildings are much safer then 1850's wooden tenements filled with poor drunk Irishman with a penchant for smoking but that doesn't mean you don't buy fire insurance for your apartment anyways. Just because today is so safe compared to before doesn't mean carrying a gun is absurd in any way, except for the whole "couple pounds of metal throwing your spine alignment off" part.
Hide / Show RepliesIt depends on where you are. Whether or not the gun is appropriate depends on the typical attitude surrounding guns in the area. People in Israel won't bat an eye to soldiers carrying assault rifles to the bank, but anyone in Britain will absolutely freak out if you brandish anything that even resembles a gun (Exaggeration, I know, but you get the point.) It's even varied in America. Open carrying a pistol with a shotgun strapped on your back will probably not even be noticed by people in Arizona, but a concealed handgun will get in arrested in New York City.
I find this image to be perfect for this page. Does anybody else agree?
