How does apply if there is actual healing, disguised as faith healing? Like Father Cornello in Full Metal Alchemist (who uses an alchemical red stone) or one episode of Supernatural where the minister had no idea his wife was using a cursed artifact to transfer injuries/deaths to people she considered more deserving?

Well, first, the word "faith" is important. This isn't Fake Healer.

But more importantly, there was discussion about the Father Cornello example at TLP, and it wasn't accepted until we learned of his fake claims to be able to raise the dead. But I admit that example is borderline—I'd love to hear more from people who are familiar with the example.

As for the Supernatural example: he wasn't actually doing anything.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.

Which is why I asked. The healing is genuine, the premise— that it comes from faith or God or whatever— is a lie. In the second example, a lie that he believes, but a lie nevertheless.
