I think the whole matter is trickier right now, as antiestablishment figures have fallen out of favor in the developed world (partly because of the effects of their denial of the COVID pandemic), with its leading figures either moderating their stances or losing popularity and prominence.
There's also the trend to airbrush out any references to the former U.S. president (note the lowercase) on TVT and elsewhere, probably because of Flame Bait.

Does Catching Some Z's count as evolving trope? It used to represent a snoring person in older times but now it represents any sleeping person.
In the first example, "...There are currently antiestablishment factions on both ends of the spectrum (exemplified perfectly by the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street)..." This is now at least a decade out of date. I would like to make it more current, for example replace "(exemplified perfectly by..." with "(for example, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders)." However, I am concerned that the use of individual politicians by name in this context could be considered inflammatory, and I can't think of a good shorthand for the followers of either set that isn't even worse. Any recommendations here?
