A while ago someone changed all the B.C.E dates in the "Before the creation of the universe" section to "years before the creation of the universe". I intend to undo that change. Why, you ask?
The stated reason was that B.C.E. doesn't exist before the beginning of the universe. This is fallacious, since we're measuring time before the start of the universe anyway, and if time is meaningful before the start of the universe, then so is B.C.E.
You can't subtract a number with precision 5*10^7 years from a number with precision 1 year or less and then quote the answer to a precision of 1 year. Another reason to keep B.C.E. dates as B.C.E.
We also get problems when comparing works that assume different ages of the universe.
Anyway, to make sure I don't get reverted again I'm posting here before making the change and leaving it open a few days for comments. If anyone has objections please reply.
