in "Once Upon a Time in the West" Season 2 Episode 7 How did Castle and Becket acquire handguns while on 'honeymoon' in Arizona?

They are NY state residents, not Arizona and it's a felony to transfer a handgun except through a receiving FFL in the receiver's state. Just a way to drive the plot?
