I don't see how the Chelm stories qualify. They're Jewish folktales set some two-thousand-plus years after the end of the Jewish Bible, and they don't particularly deal with biblical matters (except insofar as they deal with all aspects of Jewish life at the time, including religious ones).
The bit about "an angel dropped all the foolish souls into Chelm" seems like a pretty thin reed to justify this as "biblical fanfic"—by that basis, every story that includes an oblique mention of an angel or God would qualify.
So... I'm removing that item. Hope that's okay!
I'm pretty sure that The Book of Mormon doesn't belong on this page. It claims to be a historical record, comparable to the Bible, neither derivative nor fiction. Putting it on the Fanfic Recs page seems like making a definitive statement about the truthfulness of that claim.
