This page is supposed to be for high-quality fics, right? Well, from the recent influx of frankly sub-par recommendations, I'm beginning to suspect that many authors simply view this page as another way to advertise their fics. I recently deleted an entry in which one troper posed as two different tropers in order to post 'reviews' about her own fic. Her TV Tropes handle was also identical to her FFN username.
My question is, what is the appropriate action? There are a few fics up that are probably being put up by the authors themselves, but unlike the earlier example there's no hardcore proof. I feel that this page is going to become filled with terrible recommendations uploaded by sockpuppets. If a fic is just genuinely bad, are we allowed to delete it? Is it our moral duty to society?

Well, I'm about to convert this page to the new format - i.e., replacing the comments section with links to reviews (and, obviously, converting the existing comments into reviews on those pages). If there's a fic you don't like, just give it a negative review. Oh, and feel free to nuke any obvious sockpuppets you see from orbit.

Just one thing - do mention it in the edit reasons if you're deleting a sockpuppet. People get antsy about things disappearing without an explanation.

I'm not sure when this was last updated, but I have seen some quality Soul Eater fanfics recently which I believe deserve recognition. Of course, didn't want to start adding without any form of discussion, so here we go:
1. Into the Darkness by Weightless Writer (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11130228/1/Into-the-Darkness):
A Ki Ma fic which takes influence from the Greek myth of Hades and Persephone. Post-manga, with an interesting and original plot, plus some great OC villains and supporting cast. It's complete, which is also another good thing. Weightless has a lovely story here which is well written. For any Ki Ma fans out there, it's worth a read for sure.
2. The Reaping by Oh My Goshsickles (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7065036/1/The-Reaping):
This little one-shot is a real gem. The main focus is on Death the Kid and his duties as a reaper. Pairings are not the main focus, but there are hints at some. Really tragic and heartbreaking, yet hauntingly beautiful at the same time.
3. Fragments by Crimson Lia (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11161246/1/Fragments):
This is the only good story I've seen expanding on the plot point that Asura and Death the Kid are brothers. The author has a really beautiful descriptive writing style, yet her story is dark and edgy. My only complaint is that it's incomplete - just four chapters at the moment. Hopefully it will be completed.
There are many more which I could recommend, but I thought these three in particular first deserved some acknowledgement. Let me know what people think about these. If you agree with my opinion, they should be added to the Recs list for sure.
