I have doubts as to whether Cat Tales should really be listed under Fanfic recs. The claims of character bashing are spot on. The idea of character bias doesn't even make much sense because such bias, aka unreliable narrator, would come from first person, not third person as the article says. And while Cat Tales does alternate between first and third person, it's kind of clear in the third person parts that certain characters that are bashed, Diana, Talia, Poison Ivy, etc, aren't really liked by anybody, including Bruce and Selina, the first POV characters.
The character's flaws are taken way too far and they don't seem to have any heroic (in the case of Diana) or even respectable qualities (like Talia and Poison Ivy). I mean, I used to love this series, but Die For Our Ship mentality bashing isn't the sort of thing that should be recommended or encouraged.
