I'm not really sure, TBH.
On one hand it's clear that Q1 Shambler and Q2 Shambler are the same enemy class. That's why I moved Shambler tropes to the Q1 page.
On the other, Modir, despite being a Shambler, works quite differently from other enemy classes, more in line with Chthon than a Shambler. I do agree somehow with the Masters of the Machine not having their own folder, though, as they're just a pair of Flunky Boss Shamblers and nothing else.
Maybe an approach similar to that used in Characters.Borderlands Creatures? Having a folder for the monster class, but the boss-level monster subclasses having separate sections (for example, the Carrier would be the main folder, but the Garbage Carrier would get a separate section, since it's a Carrier with a different skin that summons Stalkers rather than Flyers). Not sure if there really are enough tropes to pull this off, though.
Edited by AM_NKYeah, given that the named bosses are COTM one-offs, IMO there aren't really enough tropes about them that would warrant anything more than a brief mention in the header paragraph(s).
Having looked at Modir, there's nothing really distinguishing it from other Shamblers besides being bigger & immobile in the middle of the arena.
Again, I'd advocate for the KISS route & concatenating things where appropriate. At the very least, we can always try it out to see how it looks & change it back afterwards if it isn't a decent change.
Edited by Enderguy059 IntermissionShould Bitterman get his own unique page like Ranger?
Hide / Show RepliesNot enough tropes and appearances. Ranger at least appears on three different games, it's confirmed they are the same person, and the three games provide enough tropes for an own page. Bitterman, OTOH, doesn't.
Should the three Shambler character folders (base, Modir & the Masters) be concatenated under a single folder?
I ask this since no other named boss fought in COTM is given their own separate character folders (not that they need it, if we're being completely honest) & bosses aren't even recognised as distinct enemies in the pack anyways.
In addition, if we were to go ahead with this, I would also advocate for moving any Quake 2-specific tropes from the Shambler's Quake 1 character entry over to its Quake 2 entry, to keep things accurate & concise between the two appearances.
