It is not correct to say that there is a section of Hell for \\\"homosexuals\\\": the category of \\\"homosexual\\\" is a recent creation. There were people in the Middle Ages who happened to engage in sodomy, but they were not understood (by themselves or others) as having a separate type of sexuality, but simply as people who happened to engage in that act. (Think of how we regard people who masturbate today: we don\\\'t call them \\\"selfsexuals.\\\")
