I agree that if you lose Elizabeth that the game losses a lot, but there’s nothing saying a LivingMacGuffin can’t be a character in their own right.

But a LivingMacGuffin is also something purely to be quested after and, ideally, remain out of the hero\\\'s reach until the climax. So no, Elizabeth isn\\\'t like that.
