I made Ungoliant the goddess of that trope because I figured she was the oldest/most well-known/MostTriumphantExample of it. Plus, as it stands, she covers the AnimalisticAbomination trope in general, while abominations resembling specific animals can still be governed by their patron god. For instance, Wolf O\'Donnell can still rule the lupine part of [[Manga/{{Hellsing}} the Captain]], while Ungoliant gets the abominable part.
