There\'s an episode of Mission:Impossible where this trope is invoked (along with Conjoined Twins surgically separated). It\'s a subversion because the other twin doesn\'t actually exist; it\'s a case of latex perfection, playing on the target\'s past (and lack of knowledge thereof), and the use of cigarette\'s containing a chemical to make the target susceptible. The \'in\' is that the target desires to have his tarot read. (I can\'t remember the title, though. I \'\'think\'\' it was a revival series one, but I\'m not 100% sure.)
