Does this trope only apply to walls around a particular area, or to walls separating two countries/worlds? Because most of the examples I can think of (Neil Gaiman\'s \'\'Stardust\'\', Garth Nix\'s \'\'Sabriel\'\', \'\'ASongOfIceAndFire\'\') are of the latter kind. I\'m for the broader interpretation. Which, incidentally, could include a lot of real life walls, such as Hadrian\'s or the on in Berlin.
