Nmmm. totally disagree on this cut, which for me is rare: if anyone edits or deletes my stff then they usually improve on it or bring up points I should have seen before posting. But i\'m really tempted to reinstate this passage:

\\\"** The British police famously go to work unarmed, and refrain from carrying firearms. This is still true 95% of the time, although most forces now have Armed Response Units on instant standby. The downside of this is that when there is a real and present need for British cops to go armed, they simply do not have experience of using those firearms rationally and effectively - they could learn much from American police (who have that experience) about refraining from using guns unless absolutely necessary.\\\"

The only reason I haven\\\'t done it is that I\\\'m mindful of the advice about starting flame wars, and the full text is preserved in History, so it\\\'s arguable as to whether anythings been lost at all. But I am registering disagreement here...

EDIT: \\\"Police brutality\\\" SHOULD have a real-life section. I note there are still real life references in the page quote and description, after all...

Capitalism itself is not a political ideology, it\'s an economic system which appeared as the natural consequence of implementing liberal policies in the 18th century. The article takes a more philosophical approach to the various political ideologies instead of an economic one. For more detailed articles on capitalist and socialist economics, see {{Useful Notes/Capitalism}} and {{Useful Notes/Socialism}}.
