I suspect no one\'s reading this, but hope (or is that denial) springs eternal.

In Franchise/WingCommander, most of the carriers use forcefields to keep air inside the flight bays, while the fighters themselves can fly through the field without it breaking open.

(The WC novel \'\'Freedom Flight\'\' points out specifically that earlier Kilrathi carriers \'\'don\'t\'\' have the fields, and rely on physical doors to seal flight bays.)

Does it count as this trope if the FFD doesn\'t completely prevent passage of everything but allows some stuff through?
