As for slippery slope I defy you another case of a series with an entire page worth of EnsembleDarkhorse[=/=]MemeticBystander[=s=] that run on FanNickname[=s=] and have mostly fanon interpretations. Other series run about one per series, while this show has how many now? And takes efforts to dub a new background pony within in hours of them appearing. So pony are at least to my knowledge pretty unique.
