ThemeAndVariations is a backbone of classical music, even in works that do not call themselves \\\"variations.\\\" That is how these works get so complex and remain interesting.

This is common in any form of music that goes much past ThreeChordsAndTheTruth or {{Single Stanza Song}}s. It is not frequently cited for the same reason the camera tropes are often overlooked -- it\\\'s ubiquitous.

The VariableMix is a \\\'\\\'type\\\'\\\' of Theme and Variations. It\\\'s not the only type, and is not even the only modern type. Aside from those classical works listed, I\\\'ve heard this in every AndrewLloydWebber work I\\\'ve ever heard...

ETA: Okay, so this is specifically for the classical genre as a classical subgenre. It\\\'s still not the same as a VariableMix. I think an index might help...
There may be other reasons to cut, but if this is not elsewhere, this is valid for something.
