You might be mistyping him as INTJ due to his awkwardness in pursuing the girl he likes, but that\\\'s a very thin rationale. [=INTJs=] do indeed tend to have difficulty with pursuing women and forming relationships in general, but it\\\'s because they are so detached from and even hostile to the everyday social conventions that guide these things. Unlike the INTJ archetype of the snarky loner who lives by the phrase \\\"everyone else is wrong,\\\" Evan is shy around Becca because he has an idealistic (and naive, as it turns out) idea of how their relationship will play out. His lovey-dovey \\\"I want this to be special\\\" sentimentality is a hallmark of introverted feeling (Fi), which is the dominant function of the INFP. And ask yourself: does Evan really have much in common with the characters on the INTJ list? Would you really place him in that pile if asked to group similar characters?

Typing Seth as ESFP is closer to the mark than typing Evan as INTJ (since ESFP and ESTP share the same dominant function--extroverted sensing, or Se), but it\\\'s still pretty clearly wrong. ESTP and ESFP share dominant Se, but their second functions differ: introverted thinking (Ti) for the ESTP, introverted feeling (Fi) for the ESFP. So, to believe that Seth is an ESFP, you have to believe that his second function is the same as Evan\\\'s dominant function--in other words, that they both have a pretty strong sentimental, \\\"finding my special place\\\" outlook, which is absurd. Where Evan is sentimental and idealistic, Seth is hypersexual and critical. He\\\'s an in-the-moment sort of guy with a very phallic, \\\"man up\\\" attitude, which is very often the case with [=ESTPs=] (just check out some of the other characters in the ESTP list).

As a final point against the Evan-as-INTJ and Seth-as-ESFP theory, consider that if that is in fact true, we should expect Seth to be the warm, sentimental one and Evan to be the arrogant one. Does that sound even remotely close to the truth?
